St. Peter's HouseBack to top
St. Peter's House is the main festival venue for Raise Your Banners 2009
St. Peter's House, once Bradford's main Post Office, is now the base for Kala Sangam, a South Asian Arts organisation. It is on the side of what was the old Forster Square, next to the hole in the ground that might one day become the Westfield Centre.
Getting to St. Peter's House:
Note:Please walk up Church Bank steps between St Peter's House and the Cathedral to get to the venue entrance
By Train: Forster Square or Bradford Interchange (each is a 5-10 minute walk)
By Bus: to Canal Road/Cathedral - Free City Bus

By Car: Follow signs for Bradford Cathedral off A650 Shipley/Airedale Road
Parking: Some street parking. Burnett Street BD1 5BJ - 116 space car park.
Small free car park on Jermyn Street off Stott Hill, BD1 4EH
Wheelchair Access: Access via Cathedral Close, Stott Hill BD1 4EG (off Church Bank, just above the Cathedral). Pedestrian gate is open. Ring 07932 146882 for assistance or if entrance/exit for a vehicle is required.
Disabled Parking: St Peter's House car park off Church Bank, BD1 4DY. Parking for badge holders but three steps up to the lift.

Bradford Resource Centre has been operating for over 20 years and is one of the major not-for-profit organisations in the Bradford District, providing a range of training and resources for voluntary sector and community groups, trade unions, campaigning groups and individuals.

Possibly the oldest continually active folk club in the world, the Topic has at one time or another hosted most of the greats in the field of music called "folk". It is to be found at Bradford's Irish Centre.

Long standing Bradford club run by it's membership on anarchist collective principles that evolved from the Claimants' Union. An excellent example of how a group of people can organise and manage their own building, bar, events, campaigns and social space for an extended period of time.
